The casual printmaking classes are small, flexible and friendly. They are ideal for beginners, more experienced printmakers and experimenting with different techniques. Everyone has different interests and levels of skills, so it is no matter whether you are a beginner or more experienced. Classes are reserved in advance (weeks to months) and attendance confirmed by text 3-4 days prior to each session. (Bookings can be changed up to 24 or 36 hrs prior to a class without incurring a fee.) The classes are flexible to complement busy lives.
Duration: 3 hours
Cost: $50 per class (includes most equipment/materials)
Suitable for beginners and experienced printmakers alike
Classes run February-December each year
Attendance is flexible and always by prior arrangement (you can welcome to book in weeks/months in advance)
Bookings can be changed up to 36 hrs prior to a class without incurring a fee
Class pass discount: 10 pass $450, 5 pass $225, paid in advance, for use within 18 months

Special group bookings of evening classes or afternoon/weekday classes can be arranged, each of 3 hours duration. You and your friends can reserve a single session, or a series of sessions over several weeks, in a technique (or several techniques) of your choice. Group size: 4-6 people. Cost: $75 per person. Bookings are always in advance, pending studio availability. Payment in full is due at the time of booking.
Etched plates can be printed in any intaglio class, however, the plates themselves can only be made with us during a full day etching workshop (click to book a workshop date). Alternatively, you are welcome to etch your plates at home and proof them in class.

Regular UStP casual classes take a break Christmas through January each year. In January, Simone editions prints on demand and hosts specialist workshops. Throughout, the information on this website (including information about future workshops) is updated daily and weekly.
Casual classes return at the beginning of February each each year.
